There are many hotels in Seoul, and hotels that put emphasis on stylish interior and relaxing space more than rate and location are recently increasing. Hotel Irene is also one of those hotels. The hotel opened in December 2010 and located in so-called food street Bukchangdong. There are many local restaurants selling barbeque, porridge, bibimbap, balloon fish and Korean traditional meal. Hotel Irene’s simple building is standing among those restaurants. The outer appearance of the building, glass-walled front lobby in 1F and hallway look like a luxury apartment. There are 34 rooms and spacious rooms with high ceiling provide a laid-back relaxing time. There is no glitzy interior therefore it does not bother you to carry in large luggage even to standard rooms. Bathroom is open-plan and stylish. Room facilities such as shower, shower toilet, independent wash stand, TV, PC and curtain are of course simply designed as well. There is a grill restaurant & bar in B1-2F. The chef of the restaurant used to work for Lotte Hotel, the famous hotel for serving various cuisines for 20 years. Guests can take a rest in a stylish room during sightseeing as the hotel is within a walking distance of Myeongdong, Deoksugung and Namdaemun.
